Abstract:

This study revised and evaluated a sexual assault risk reduction and self-defense program for college women (N=300). Relative to the placebo-control group, participants reported increased self-protective behavior, resistance self-efficacy, and sexual communication over the 4-month interim and were less likely to experience rape over the 2-month interim. Implications are discussed.
