Publication Type: Spoken Paper Review Method: Peer Reviewed Abstract: This article discusses a comparative analysis of the Korean traditional music curricula and contents in the elementary school system of the Joseonjok region in China and South Korea. Through content analysis of music textbooks, the author investigated the traditional music pedagogy that emphasizes the tradition music teaching method. Analysis indicates the characteristics of the Korean traditional music pedagogy present in both regions and suggest progressive ideas for the further development of a diverse Korean traditional music education. |
