Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

The Waffle House stands as a Southern iconic establishment. More importantly, the Waffle House as a diner provides insight into the Southern communities’ rituals, habits, and tastes through aesthetic performance. By studying the Waffle House as a site of Southern identity, I hope to understand a broadened sense of what it means to be Southern and to live in the South.
