Abstract:

Proposal for Author meets Critics Session
Book: Room, R.; Fischer, B., Hall, W., Lenton, S. and P. Reuter Cannabis Policy: Moving Beyond the Stalemate (Oxford University Press)
The book was officially released in February 2010 in the United States. Peter Reuter (University of Maryland) will represent the authors at this event. We propose three critics:
James B. Jacobs (School of Law, New York University)
Rosalie Pacula (Co-director, Drug Policy Research Center, RAND). She and Reuter are frequent collaborators. However they differ on some issues related to cannabis policy and she will be critical of some of the interpretation of the research evidence; it is hard to find critics on the more conservative side.
Martin Bouchard (Criminology, Simon Fraser University, Canada)
