Abstract:

Miami, Florida's Yahweh Ben Yahweh, spiritual leader of the Black Hebrew Israelites, led his followers in the construction and ownership of an $8 million empire of properties, including a Miami headquarters known as the ''Temple of Love'' and temples in 22 states. For this stellar example of Black entrepreneurial success, Yahweh Ben Yahweh and his followers were attacked and slandered by the United States Government, subjected to a legal lynching that bankrupted the Temple of Love, and then imprisoned for crimes they did not commit.
