Abstract:

Much attention has been given to the importance of principals acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead and transform schools. Efficacy beliefs operate as a key factor for high performing principals. This topic was examined in a mixed methods study to determine the underlying factors that contributed to principal self-efficacy and the role of the principal in developing collective school efficacy that supports school improvement.
