Abstract:

The influence of physicians’ gender on women’s perceptions of physician communication, women’s satisfaction with physician, and women’s adherence and adjustment to genital herpes was examined. Although gender-related communication differences were found, physicians’ gender was not a significant predictor of important patient health outcomes.
