Fostering feminism in developing sons

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

Boys face demands to find identity outside Mom’s gender group. Feminist values clash with dominant group expectations. However, mothers can foster feminisms in sons by avoiding rigidity, by offering opportunities to leave toxic environments, and by fostering development of their ability to provide care and empathy. An older mother shares her successes.
