Abstract:

Children receive messages from numerous sources, including caregivers, peers, and media. These messages often relate to race, gender, and sexual orientation, as well as consumerism and violence. This presentation will focus on challenging these messages with examples from a feminist mother’s journey to raise a feminist son.
