Mindfulness Yoga during Pregnancy: An Alternative to Conventional Treatment of Depression & Anxiety

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

Pregnant women may be reluctant to treat symptoms of depression and anxiety due to possible health risks. Our research suggests that mindfulness yoga could be a well-tolerated alternative to traditional treatments, effectively reducing symptoms of depression, increasing resilience to stress, mindfulness skills and enhancing maternal-fetal attachment.
