Abstract:

This research explores how LGBQ faculty members experience the phenomenon of disclosing their sexual identity to students in their classrooms. Connections to teaching philosophy, pedagogy, student support, student development, and social justice are discussed, as well as the professional and personal impact on the faculty member.
