Abstract:

This Round table focuses on presenting information on current trends and issues on Asian American preferences, needs, and counseling in regards to study abroad, with a focus on identity and heritage learning. Questions to be addressed include is heritage learning the same irrespective of country choice? How does identity evolve through the course of study abroad? What should Asian Americans expect when they are not in a heritage country? This is a highly interactive round table in which we invite colleagues to share experiences in relation to the topics.
