Preparing for work: Resources for international youth livelihood education

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

EQUIP3 has found that while there is a growth in interest and demand for youth-focused work readiness programming, implementers worldwide have had difficulty in finding easily available and relevant curriculum. In response, EQUIP3 developed a web-based collection of peer-reviewed work readiness teaching and learning resources for practitioners, implementing partners, and funding agencies. Preparing for Work aims not only to provide materials for youth work-readiness and life skills programs, but to consolidate these resources so they are immediately and easily available to compare, review, and obtain. This presentation will orient participants to the curriculum resources available through this site as well as to the other features of the site that help program managers make program development decisions. Discussion will focus on how to use the tools for selecting and adapting curricula, and orienting the group to the detailed curriculum reviews.
