A comparative analysis of "teacher studies": Focus on international journals of education

Abstract:

This article attempts to analyze "teacher studies" and its seven sub-topics in international journals of education. For the research purpose, content and document analysis methods are used. This paper will explore three parts as follows: firstly, the major topics and proportion of "teacher studies" in journals of education research in Germany; France; USA; UK; Australia & New Zealand; Japan and; Mainland China. Secondly, the sequences of the sub-topics and research approaches shows among major journals of educational research in the above-memtioned eight countries; thirdly, the trends of "teacher studies" on teaching as a profession and multi-dimensional richness in eight countries will be studied.
