Abstract:

Mentoring is essential in helping new psychologists adjust to life as a professional, learn to navigate the systems in which they work, and flourish as practitioners, scholars, and advocates for social change. This poster will present information on the nature of mentoring relationships between different generations of women in psychology. Topics presented will include the benefits and challenges of mentoring, how mentoring can foster growth of feminist psychologists, and how mentoring can address the unique needs of culturally diverse women in psychology.
