Abstract:

Writing Chinese used to be the bottle-neck in teaching Chinese as a foreign language due to the difficulties in writing Chinese characters. This presentation will explore in depth the advantages of writing Chinese with computer and provide ideas in pedagogically designing different writing tasks for American students at different levels.
