Variation in Robbery Rates Across Districts in Germany: A Spatial Analysis

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

The purpose of the present study is to “export” significant developments in spatial analysis of crime rates from the U. S. to the context of contemporary Germany. Our analyses focus on spatial patterns across districts (“Kreise”) for the nation at large. Results reveal distinctive regional patternings in both robbery rates and the structural predictors of crime. Multivariate results are highly consistent with those obtained for the U. S.
