Abstract:

Presentation examines difficulties encountered by L2 learners in acquiring listening skills and competence, and also analyzes the causes for these difficulties. An effective pedagogy of L2 listening comprehension, which integrates both top-down and bottom-up skills as well as reading and speaking learning activities to improve listening competence will be recommended.
