Abstract:

Leading journals are analyzed along an extensive typology of content sub/areas and investigated vis-a-vis the areas covered by popular women's [targeted audience] magazines. Particular attention is paid to rape mythology [and secondarily to the implications for rape avoidance/advise] in the comparison of the academic vs. popular articles on rape and sexual assault.
