More than meets the ear: Emotion, attention, and auditory processing

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

Despite an overwhelming emphasis on how biometrics can help us understand dynamic processing of visual media, this talk will illustrate how attention and emotional response to audio messages can be better understood by applying real-time measures of bodily response while people are exposed to audio. Particular emphasis will be devoted to understanding the processing of messages that people claim they aren’t paying attention to.
