On the Unsuspected Sacrifices in Diversity Class

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

This presentation highlights the dynamic of subtle and passive student expressions of privilege that “sacrifice” other students in my “Diversity and Social Justice” course. I discuss sacrificial examples, the very real costs that occur in multicultural training, to demonstrate our instructional goals of reflection, investigation, relational awareness and skill-development.
