Abstract:

The current study examined differential help-seeking decisions for children by mothers and fathers. Parents completed measures of parenting stress, self-efficacy, treatment acceptability, and help-seeking behaviors. Fathers with higher levels of self-efficacy sought more overall services. Fathers and mothers with higher levels of treatment acceptability sought more mental health services.
