Abstract:

Prince Edward Island is the only province in Canada to deny women access to abortion services. Researcher/activists in the University and Community collaborated in Participatory Action Research project asking how this restriction is affecting women’s lives. Initial outcomes reveal the value of PAR to create environments for policy changes.
