Abstract:

Two samples of undergraduate women were examined for eating disorder diagnosis and related constructs. Rates of diagnosis were 26.6% and 33.3%, respectively. Participants with eating psychopathology differed significantly from their peers on measures of self-esteem, interoceptive awareness, self-objectification, thin-ideal internalization, body dissatisfaction, and depression.
