Abstract:

This study investigates how participating in a gender-based organization relates to women’s sexual well-being. Surveys conducted in Nicaragua reveal that participation was related to more progressive gender ideology, higher levels of agency, and, in turn greater actualization of sexual rights. Findings have implications for improving women’s sexual well-being globally.
