Abstract:

With the rate of women increasing in the military, the stereotypes and false perceptions of them are increasing as well. Many military women struggle with substance use, sexuality issues, family and PTSD but stay silent about their struggles. This presentation will focus on the unspoken personal experiences and the negative messages about women in the military.
