Jewish Women: The Silent Minority

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

Because Jews are usually of European descent, it is assumed that they are "white" and therefore have no specific needs that differ from a generalized European American population. As a consequence, they are often not provided with cultural sensitivity in the therapeutic setting. The case of a Jewish woman as she describes the impact of being a part of a doubly oppressed group will be presented.
