Controlling My Weight: Thin-Ideal Internalization, Weight Locus of Control, and Body Dissatisfaction

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

The researchers investigated weight locus of control as a moderator of the relationship between thin-ideal internalization and body dissatisfaction. Results indicated significant interactions; however, the interaction effect was not in the predicted direction. Findings suggest that an internal weight locus of control may be protective for some women.
