Abstract:

This poster presentation aims to discuss prospects, priorities, and problems of technology integration in pre-service secondary mathematics teacher education. We will use auto-ethnographic reflective/reflexive accounts of experiences through a teacher education program as a participant observer and instructors. We will identify key aspects of prospects, priorities, and challenges of technology integration in the curriculum in terms of relevancy, sufficiency, applicability, and extensions (RASE) as a theoretical model within the institutional cultures of teaching and learning mathematics. We will discuss the theoretical model for technology integration in pre-service mathematics teacher education for secondary level with pedagogical implications.
