Abstract:

A senior faculty and junior faculty share how they teache basic social research methods to both sociology and social work undergraduates. The curricular model includes a three quarter sequence which provides quantitative and qualitative design, single-system design, and statistical analysis using SPSS, resulting in each student completing an original project. Presenters also share what they have learned from students and colleagues in making this sequence successful.
