Abstract:

Self-care among psychologists with chronic illness and challenges to achieving work-life balance will be discussed. Little research exists on managing workplace stress for professionals who have “invisible” physical illnesses. Reasons why some professionals hesitate to pursue accommodations will be discussed, along with strategies for moving towards a healthier work-life balance.
