The Popularization of Rap and the Effects on the Hip-Hop Culture

Abstract | Word Stems | Keywords | Association | Citation | Similar Titles

Abstract:

As rap music progressed over the years from an underground sensation to mainstream success, certain content of hip-hop culture has seen a decline while other aspects are more highlighted. I want to examine mainstream rap music from a 20 year time span to look for changing and reoccurring themes in rap music from a lyrical and visual perspective.
