Abstract: Black women experience marginalization as a result of their racial and gender identities. This study investigates the relationship between these identities and associated encounters with discrimination on mental health. Analyses suggest racial and gender discrimination negatively impact mental health, while aspects of racial and gender identity buffer this relationship.
