Abstract: This study aimed at exploring the status of the history of education in teacher education curriculum and the trend of relative researches in eight countries. Statistical key word data of the history of education, the sociology of education, the philosophy in represented journal in eight countries during 2000-2009 is used to achieve the above goal. Firstly, the development of status of the history of education in teacher education curriculum is from regulative to selective. Although in the border position in teacher education curriculum, but the history of education is still embedded in foundations of education theory for preparing teachers. Secondly, researches on history of education are multiple in issues, methods, perspectives, and data. Researches on the history of education relative to other foundation of education theories are weak on quantifiable results from eight countries. Finally, eight conclusions are mentioned.
