Abstract: This case study examines how race and ethnicity affect the study abroad experience, including perceptions and attitudes towards the host country (Australia/New Zealand). It also examines how African-American high school students develop the recognition and acceptance of differences and dimensions of other cultures based on the participants' own experiences.
