Abstract: The purpose of my articles is to argue that we should consider using the “Freedom School” and “Liberation School” as an educational model for areas where the school district has failed, and possess large numbers African American and Hispanic youth—populations that have historically been marginalized in our nation. Freedom and Liberation schools had proven their effectiveness in their short lifespan by its ability to transform them to citizens that wanted to improve this nation, while at the same time motivating them to do reading, math, and science on a high level. In other words, these schools helped to produce enlightened citizens in the past to improve this nation, but a sizable number of the white majority could not recognize this at the time because of mis-education, demagoguery, and fear of reprisal for the past racial injustices. However, today is different because of the significant strides made in many areas by previously excluded groups that have helped to make America the sole super power at this time. Most Americans would agree that it is now imperative to educate all sectors of citizenry in order sustain our position and in the world and preserve the good things that our civilization has to offer. Obviously, economic literacy must be a main component as well in a child’s education experience because we are a capitalist nation.
