Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the mechanisms through which the transformational leadership of principals affects collective efficacy and the self-efficacy of teachers. The participants included a cluster-random sample of 813 primary school teachers. A causal comparative research design was employed and a structural equation modelling was administered to test the research models and hypotheses. Findings demonstrated that the collective efficacy and transformation leadership jointly shape teachers' self-efficacy. Collective efficacy mediated and magnified the relationship between principal leadership and teacher self-efficacy.

Abstract: This study proposes a research model examining how self-efficacy affects consumer trust in web vendors, and how self-efficacy and consumer trust influence online consumers’ intention to purchase from a certain web vendor. In particular, we separate the concept of self-efficacy into two types: general self-efficacy and domain-specific self-efficacy (i.e., online transaction self-efficacy) and examine whether they play a different role as an antecedent of trust in the realm of B2C e-commerce. The results show that online transaction self-efficacy is also an important determinant of perceived risk and a consumer’s intention to purchase. Although general self-efficacy does not play the same role as online self-efficacy, the effect of general self-efficacy on consumer trust was completely mediated by online transaction self-efficacy. This study provides a focused picture of trust building and reinforcement of purchase intention in e-commerce from the separated angle of self-efficacy.

Abstract: Abstract
Goddard, Hoy, and Woolfolk-Hoy (2000) stated that teachers have higher efficacy when working with certain students, and those with high efficacy increase student achievement. One purpose of this pilot study is to examine whether there is a relationship between teachers’ efficacy, attitudes about multicultural populations, and multicultural teaching efficacy. One of the hypotheses is that there is a correlation between teachers’ efficacy in teaching White students and culturally diverse students. The other hypothesis is that there is a correlation between teachers’ racial attitude and their multicultural teaching efficacy. The results show significant correlations between multicultural teaching efficacy, multicultural experience, and attitude among the small sample of White teachers in two middle school settings with a substantial amount of culturally diverse students.

Abstract: Much attention has been given to the importance of principals acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead and transform schools. Efficacy beliefs operate as a key factor for high performing principals. This topic was examined in a mixed methods study to determine the underlying factors that contributed to principal self-efficacy and the role of the principal in developing collective school efficacy that supports school improvement.
